Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer in Lexington, KY to safeguard clients across industries, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain security operations. The role involves routine patrols, monitoring access, and professional communication with site staff and visitors.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $17.63 per hour. Shifts run evenings from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, five days a week, supporting a dynamic technology and telecommunications location.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check as a condition of employment per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate patrol observations and shift activities to site personnel and leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding patrol observations, incidents, and shift activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
