Job summary

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a reliable Security Officer to join our team. The primary duties include patrolling premises, handling incidents, and reporting findings to ensure safety and security.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, prior security experience, strong observation and communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a security role, preferably with vehicle patrol responsibilities.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Basic skills for report writing and communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter and detect criminal activity and ensure the safety of the premises.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or hazards.
• Write detailed and accurate reports on incidents and daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a high level of visibility to deter potential threats and provide a sense of security.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations.
