Allied Universal® in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a part-time Security Officer with enhanced duties to provide reliable coverage at an aerospace/defense site. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The role offers flexible anchor shifts, the opportunity to earn more with additional shifts, and a path toward full-time opportunities within the leading security company. A DoD Secret clearance is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driving positions require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace/defense site while following security procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document activity as required by site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities and restricted areas.
• Complete accurate reports and logs and communicate observations to leadership.

Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Security Clearance Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

DayTime Thur 03:00 PM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as authorized, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations involving unusual activity, policy violations, or potential hazards to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
