Qualifications

• Minimum three+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Guard card is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using designated screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and escalate concerns in accordance with site protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access for persons entering restricted areas, maintaining accurate entry and visitor records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and maintenance issues.
