Job summary

Allied Universal in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for badge issuance at a food and beverage site. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide access-control procedures at a food & beverage production site and assist with emergency response when needed.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals.
• Control vehicle and delivery access, verify appointments or documentation, and report access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers at a food and beverage production location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Control vehicle and delivery access, verify shipping and receiving appointments or documentation as required, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, the business, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
