Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Route Driver in Whiteville, NC. You will perform armed patrols, manage access points, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service to staff and visitors.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, at least 21 years old for armed roles, and a high school diploma or equivalent. This is a full-time daytime/overnight rotating schedule with compensation of $21.50 per hour.

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Route Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, observe visitor activity, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and public agencies as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, unusual conditions, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
