Job summary

LAWW Security Services in Lanham, MD is seeking reliable Security Officers (Armed and Unarmed) to patrol commercial, residential, and institutional sites. You will deter threats, monitor entrances, and respond to alarms with professionalism and a visible safety presence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Experience in security or law enforcement preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrances and departures to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter intrusion and detect suspicious activity.
• Operate CCTV and surveillance equipment to monitor activity.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
• Coordinate with law enforcement as required to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in drills or training sessions.
• Report suspicious activity or safety concerns.
• Maintain logs and incident reports and ensure post orders are followed.
