Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Screener in Bushnell, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure and welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security-related concerns. Your professional presence, communication skills, and law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience will help deter incidents while delivering exceptional service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Screen individuals and belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Control access to designated areas by verifying identification, credentials, and authorization in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
