Job summary

Allied Universal in Washington, DC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol. This role combines customer service with protective security, driving and patrolling at a financial institution location.

You will perform armed patrols, verify access, log activities, and respond to incidents with professionalism. A valid armed guard card/license, driver's license, and 3+ years of relevant experience or a college degree are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience OR a college degree.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Valid driver’s license per AU policy.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Pay Rate: $35.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 09:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 09:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, documenting and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while following applicable armed-post procedures and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
