Responsibilities

• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations following established protocols.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify authorized access, and track activity of visitors, staff, and contractors.
• Carry authorized equipment and complete incident reports and daily activity documentation.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, donors, patients, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain awareness of activity involving visitors, staff, deliveries, and contractors.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client requirements, and applicable laws, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least four years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
