Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Technology Operations in Miami, FL to safeguard riders and staff in a government transit environment. You will patrol facilities, monitor access, and respond to incidents with calm, professional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through established channels.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
