Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Gary, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, banking areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and verify credentials in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; request additional support from appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, unusual activity, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
