Pay rate is $24.00 per hour. The schedule offers fixed anchor shifts, with additional shifts available through our Earn More program, allowing you to increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Document observations and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional and courteous presence in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR and First Aid are preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
