What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct armed patrols, remaining in compliance with Allied Universal and site firearms policies, and help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and professional engagement.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalation support, medical campus disturbance response, and coordination with clinical leadership and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entrances, and documenting visitor activity per site policy while maintaining a helpful, service‑oriented approach.
• Complete timely security‑related reports and shift logs, communicate hazards and/or policy concerns to site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.

Minimum Requirements

• Hold a CPO certification.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
