Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, commuters, and the public while following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner according to procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports as required.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to employees, riders, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $27.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue 09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, commuters, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at government transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
