Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Monroe, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a financial institution location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will respond to security-related concerns, support access control procedures, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. This armed role requires an Armed Guard Card/License and offers the opportunity to demonstrate integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, members, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business offices, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.


• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site‑specific requirements.


• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.


• Possess an armed guard card or license.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
