Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Charlotte, NC to safeguard clients across financial institutions and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service while adhering to site policies and safety procedures.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. Schedules include weekday afternoons and evenings, requiring readiness to respond to incidents and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• High school diploma or GED required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age (armed roles).
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing may be required per state/local laws.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and coordinate with site contacts and authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the banking location including lobby, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unusual behavior per site protocols.
• Support opening/closing activities and respond to robbery-related or high-risk situations per post orders.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a respected financial institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the banking location, including the lobby, access points, parking areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual behavior, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.


• Support opening and closing activities, remain prepared to respond to robbery-related or high-risk situations, and follow all post orders and weapon handling requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.


• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.


• Be at least 21 years of age.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
