Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed – Overnights in Columbia, SC. The role is full-time with a pay rate of $18.96 per hour, covering night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM across the week.

You will provide customer service, deter incidents, conduct armed patrols, monitor entry points, and document incidents according to site procedures. Minimum requirements include 1 year of armed security experience, an armed guard license, being 21+, a high school diploma, and passing background

• Armed guard card or license required.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.

Day Time

Mon11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Tue11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Wed11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Thur11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Sun11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.




• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.




• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and reporting unusual conditions.




• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.




• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.




• Possess an armed guard card or license.




• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.




• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.




• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.




• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.




• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.




• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.




• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.




• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
