Allied Universal in De Soto, KS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Licensed Patrol to monitor and protect a technology, media, and telecom location. You will maintain a visible security presence, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service.

This role requires an Armed Guard Card or license, at least one year of armed security experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. A background check and drug screen are required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
