Responsibilities

• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and track movement.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate incidents to relevant personnel.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

• Wed 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain awareness of movement throughout the assigned location.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
