Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Lynchburg, VA. You will monitor areas, conduct patrols, deter incidents, respond to alarms, and deliver excellent customer service in a manufacturing and industrial setting.

Position Type: Full Time; Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour; Schedule includes Night shifts. Minimum requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, Law Enforcement or Military Police training, and 21+ for armed roles; preferred alarm panel and baton

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of facilities, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Handle equipment in compliance with laws, training, and company policies.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Maintain readiness and responsible handling of assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
