Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Response Patrol in Gibsonton, FL. This part-time role requires an armed guard card/licence and a valid driver’s license. You will patrol utility facilities, deter incidents, and assist employees and visitors while upholding Allied Universal values.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, monitoring access, and reporting incidents. A High School diploma is required along with background checks and drug screening as per law.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utility location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Tue: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors entering restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate security-related concerns, incidents, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
