Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Driver Perimeter Security Officer in Orlando, FL to protect government facilities and personnel. You will drive, patrol, control access, and respond to security-related concerns while maintaining a professional armed presence and delivering courteous service.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour and a schedule that includes evening shifts on Tue, Wed and Thu.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a government location by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and agencies.
• Monitor restricted areas and verify credentials, documenting visitor activity and patrol findings.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while ensuring a respectful environment.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 06:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 06:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 06:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a government law-enforcement location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and patrol findings in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while supporting a respectful environment for employees, visitors, and members of the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
