Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Patrol Inspector in Alexandria, VA. This full-time role involves protecting clients across healthcare locations, patrolling premises, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will deliver excellent customer service while enforcing site policies and safety procedures. The position requires an armed guard license, at least 2 years of security experience, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card/license required/preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and document observations per site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor screening and entry procedures per location guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with staff and visitors, assist with de-escalation, and report issues promptly.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Inspector in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and report concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directional support, and authorized entry procedures in accordance with location guidelines.
• Support a professional environment by communicating with staff and visitors, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
