Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Naples, FL to monitor and patrol government facilities, provide customer service, and maintain a professional presence.

This full-time role pays $23.00 per hour, with a Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule; candidates must have an armed guard card and applicable credentials, pass background and drug screening. Driving positions require a valid license.

Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Participate in security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while executing site-specific security procedures and access-control requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations with calm, professional problem-solving; report as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with entry/exit per site policies and procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow Allied Universal policies and post orders.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with controlling entry and exit in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and perform duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
