Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Armed Security Officer for our Franklin, LA site. You will patrol, deter crime, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional conduct with clients and staff. This role requires alertness, excellent judgment, and a commitment to safety and service.

Minimum requirements include being 21+, able to stand/walk for long periods, outdoor work capability, a clean driving record, and 2+ years of security experience. An armed license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Current armed license - a plus (will receive first consideration).
• Experience as an armed guard and 2+ years of security experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, varying by client site.

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Armed Security Officers to join our team, providing exceptional protection services for our new site.

POSITION: Armed Security officer

LOCATION: Franklin, LA (between Jeanerette & Morgan City)

SHIFT: Full-time

PAY $19.00 / per hour / pays weekly

MUST HAVE CURRENT ARMED LICENSE OR ARMED WITHIN THE PAST YEAR

Duties include:

• Patrolling entry ways and exits of property
• Maintaining a visible presence to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
• Assisting staff and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Responding promptly to incidents and disturbances while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Monitoring surveillance systems and conducting regular checks on property security systems.
• Writing detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns.
• Collaborating with law enforcement and other emergency personnel when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• LAW ENFORCEMENT / MILITARY PREFERRED (will receive first consideration)
• 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
• ABLE TO STAND/WALK FOR EXTENDED PERIODS (as needed)
• ABILITY TO WORK OUTDOORS IN THE ELEMENTS
• MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
• CURRENT ARMED LICENSE - A PLUS (will received first consideration)

FIRST INTERVIEW WILL BE A PHONE INTERVIEW.

As an Armed Security Officer you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universalwill consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
