Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer for a major aerospace/defense location in Greenlawn, NY. You will provide customer service, follow site procedures, and maintain security across multiple shifts while representing Allied Universal’s values.

You will monitor, deter, and report on security incidents, assist in emergencies, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors in a fast-paced environment. A DoD clearance and valid driver’s license are often required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.

• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate with visitors and staff.

Pay Rate: $24.94 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, potential hazards, access-control concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
