Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Monitoring in McAllen, TX. You will protect a manufacturing and industrial site, control access points, verify credentials, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.

You will deliver professional customer service, monitor cameras and access systems, respond to incidents, and follow post orders and escalation procedures to keep the site safe.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.


• Control access to facilities, restricted production areas, and other designated locations by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.


• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.


• Monitor access control systems, cameras, and other assigned equipment; report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
