You will verify credentials, manage badge access, monitor entry points, and assist visitors and employees while maintaining safety and professionalism in a driving position.

The role requires a valid license, security experience, and the ability to work a night schedule with focus on customer service and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering or exiting the site.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and visitor management systems, reporting irregularities and access concerns.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized entry.

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in North Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by verifying credentials, managing badge access, monitoring entry points, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. You will provide visible support, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving position.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.56 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Thu 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering or exiting the chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and visitor management systems, reporting irregularities and access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
