Allied Universal in Palmyra, VA is seeking a Security Officer Access Control for a part-time schedule. You will monitor entry points, verify access, assist residents, and respond to security-related concerns while maintaining a welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes professionalism, good communication, and a customer-service mindset. Pay is $18.50 per hour, with shifts including Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM and Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, and opportunities to grow through our training and perks

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vendor records, and communicate access concerns in accordance with residential community procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate contacts as directed by site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Complete detailed activity logs, access records, and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:
