Securitas USA is seeking a Security Officer for full-time, 2nd and 3rd shifts in Champaign, IL. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment through access control, patrolling, and enforcing site directives for personnel and visitors.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, excellent customer service and the ability to work independently under pressure. A valid IL driver’s license and ability to patrol on foot and by vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce regulations and directives.
• Conduct access control and patrol diverse locations.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Utilize technology devices during shift.

They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Champaign, IL

Wage: $20.00/HR

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements
