Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a dedicated security officer to support the safe and secure operation of its hospitals and campuses. You will work to protect patients, staff, and visitors, and respond to incidents with professionalism and discretion.

Minimum one year of security experience in a healthcare or related setting is preferred. You must obtain BLS within 90 days and hold a Florida Driver's License. The role offers stable hours and a mission-driven environment.

Description

The purpose of this position is to support the Administration of Baptist Health South Florida with the provision of a safe and secure environment for the care of patients and the peaceful and orderly operation of business throughout all entities serviced. To be proficient in all aspects as a BHSF security officer as provided for and by the BHSF security training program and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.68 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support.
• Florida Drivers License (Class E Non-Commercial).

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in the field of security with a preference in a hospital setting.
• Law enforcement or military experience desired.
• Required to complete BHSF security training program before the completion of their probationary period and supplemental training classes as they are offered.
• BLS certification must be obtained within first 90 days of employment.
