Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Security Officer I to perform basic, in-house security duties and protect patients, guests, staff, assets, and facilities in Arkansas.

The role focuses on shadowing, basic unlocks, metal detection, visitor management, and duties that do not require an Arkansas security credential.

Qualifications

• Valid Arkansas Driver's License required.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
• Able to meet state qualifications to obtain and maintain a security credential.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must not use nicotine or tobacco products in any form.
• High school graduate or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection for guests, patients, staff, property and assets in an in-house security role.
• Shadow assigned duties and support basic security operations.
• Perform basic unlocks and metal detection as delegated.
• Manage visitors and assist with access control in accordance with policy.
• Engage in tasks that do not require an Arkansas security credential.

Summary

A Security Officer I (SOI) is an entry level position for the Baptist Health Security Department. An SOI performs basic security duties in an in-house capacity to include: protection of guests, patients and staff, their property and company assets. An SOI is limited in scope to job shadowing, performance of basic unlocks, metal detection, visitor management and other functions that do not require an Arkansas security credential as identified by Arkansas Act 393.
