Job summary

Securitas USA is hiring a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for client sites. You will monitor premises, conduct patrols, and enforce site-specific policies to protect people, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service.

• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activities while documenting events accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and customers with questions and directions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Availability and Requirements:

Overnights and Evenings. Delaware Security License Holder (Yellow) is preferred.

The salary range for this role is from $18.41 per hour.

The compensation range may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, and applicable skills.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for client sites by monitoring premises, conducting patrols, and enforcing site‑specific policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in supporting client operations by protecting people, property, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, professional, and committed to providing a positive experience for employees, visitors, and customers.

Who You Are

An ideal candidate brings:

• A service-first mindset, clear communication skills, strong attention to detail, and sound judgment when approaching challenges. The ideal candidate is solutions-focused and thrives in both independent and team settings.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required state security licenses or certifications.
• Strong observation and situational awareness skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or stressful situations.
• Basic computer and report-writing skills.

Experience That Sets You Apart

• Previous experience in security, customer service, retail, hospitality, food service, or related fields.
• Current state security license or certification.
• Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
• Knowledge of access control, incident reporting, and patrol procedures.
• First Aid, CPR, or other safety-related certifications.
