SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining a high level of vigilance while properly executing security duties on the assigned shift to adequately protect the life and property of guests, employees, and the entire facility. Responsible for maintaining a high level of integrity and practicing, supporting, and promoting the exceptional service standards of Four Winds Casino Resort.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities for the position. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal, other applicable requirements, and company specific policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Generate written reports for security-related incidents involving guests, employees, and the facility.
  • Escort and observe guests and employees to ensure their safety; identify and report potential safety hazards.
  • Familiarize with hazardous materials on property and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Act as a Dispatcher during emergencies, coordinate solutions, and inform outside agencies as directed.
  • Operate property vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of the facilities and special events to advise guests and employees.
  • Ensure safe transportation of monies and assist in the opening and closing of gaming tables.
  • Interact positively and professionally with guests and employees.
  • Facilitate information flow and attend departmental meetings.
  • Maintain a series of keys and access locked areas as necessary.
  • Verify identification for individuals appearing under 21 to ensure compliance with gaming regulations.
  • Monitor the EVOLV Weapon System.
  • Conduct suspicious bag and unusual item inspections.
  • Verify and monitor gaming badges, vendor/contractor access, and unauthorized access.
  • Coordinate special events, manage crowd control, and prepare emergency action plans.
  • Detect suspicious behavior and threats and respond accordingly.
  • Monitor suspicious items and improper acquisition of property.
  • Interact with guests upon entering and departing according to service standards.
  • Enforce outside alcohol policies.
  • Testify in court when subpoenaed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of one (1) year experience in law enforcement or gaming security preferred. Excellent communication skills required.

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
