Job summary

Marksman Security LLC is hiring a Rover Security Officer for a full-time role at a premier automotive facility in Plano, Texas. The position requires active patrols, high visibility, and quick response with professional conduct in a high-accountability environment.

The shift is Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Pay is $18.50 per hour with a $50 sign-on bonus for associates with an active Guard Card, plus opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Non-Commissioned security license through the state of Texas is required.
• Familiarity with report writing and security procedures.
• Experience in security and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Active Patrolling — patrol facility on foot and by vehicle to detect hazards or breaches.
• Access Control — verify credentials and prevent unauthorized access.
• Incident Response — respond to alarms and emergencies per site protocols.
• Reporting — write daily activity, incident, and maintenance reports.
• Customer Service — assist employees and guests with directions and safety information.
• Compliance — follow site policies and SOPs at all times.

Full Time Rover Security Officer

Marksman Security is seeking a dependable, alert, and service-driven Rover Security Officer to provide active patrol-based protection at a premier automotive headquarters facility in Plano, Texas.
This is a high-visibility, dynamic role requiring professionalism, physical readiness, and sound judgment.

A Rover Security Officer provides mobile protection across large, expansive properties — on foot or by vehicle — monitoring for hazards, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to incidents.
Rather than working a fixed post, this role focuses on active deterrence, safety inspections, and continuous patrol presence.

The site is a Headquarters location and will require the highest level of professionalism, customer service, technology skills, and high-quality candidates with excellent work ethics.

$50 Sign-On Bonus – Active Guard Card Already licensed? Associates who join with an active Guard Card on file will receive a $50 Sign-On Bonus, paid out upon successful completion of 90 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Active Patrolling — Conduct regular, randomized foot and vehicle patrols of facilities, fences, gates, and parking areas to detect safety hazards, property damage, or security breaches.
• Access Control — Verify credentials and identify visitors, vendors, and employees at various entry points to prevent unauthorized access across the campus.
• Incident Response — Respond immediately and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and reports of suspicious activity — escalating appropriately per site protocols.
• Reporting — Write detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and maintenance/damage reports documenting security risks and observed conditions.
• Customer Service — Provide professional assistance to employees and guests — offering directions, safety guidance, and general support as needed.
• Compliance — Ensure adherence to all site-specific policies, safety regulations, and Marksman standard operating procedures at all times

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Non-Commissioned security license through the state of Texas
• Familiarity with report writing
• Monitoring and surveillance experienceMust be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Previous security experience is required
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
