Copperstate Farms, LLC is seeking a Full-time Security Officer to protect Copperstate property and maintain a safe environment for staff and customers. You will work under the Director of Security, Security Manager, and Retail manager on duty, performing security duties and ensuring access control.

The role requires vigilance, reliable attendance, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Candidates must be 21+, pass a background check, and may hold an FA card.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain and maintain an Arizona Facility Agent card.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous security, military, or police experience preferred.

Job Description:

Job Title: Full-time Security Officer

Position Overview:

Job Description: The Security Officer is responsible for performing security duties under the guidance of the Director of Security, Security Manager, and Retail manager on duty. Your goals are to ensure the protection of Copperstate property against theft or vandalism and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all fellow coworkers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure security of locks and chains; permitting entry via gate post duties.
• Report and communicate to management and emergency responders in an effective manner when needed/required.
• Know emergency procedures that are in place for evacuation plans, fire emergencies, or threats to the facility or personnel.
• Knowledge of the locations first aid kits, panic buttons, fire extinguishers, AED, and know how to properly use each.
• Ensure no entry for banned or problematic customers while assuming post duties.
• Know the departments forms for everyday use and completes reports/ Post Logs entries by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Attend all required meetings, training sessions and daily shift change briefings.
• Effectively use the proper chain of command for issues that may arise.
• Work well and effectively with fellow co-workers with emphasis on adaptability.
• Maintain confidentiality of information that is meant to be confidential while maintaining the highest level of integrity.
• Conduct order fulfillment count as dictated and required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check in order to obtain, and maintain, a Facility Agent card in accordance with Arizona State Department of Health Services requirements.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous security, military, or police experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands.
• Frequently required physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
• Frequently stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
• Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
• Lift 25-50 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary.
• Crouch & bend often.
• Stand for short/ high periods of time.
• Sit for short/ medium periods of time.
• Walk for short/high periods of time.
• Monitor and patrol the sales floor.
• Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position.

Security Certification Requirements:

• Annual training as assigned by management (de-escalation training, fake bill and ID detection)
• Maintain active Arizona Facility Agent Card – Biannual or as dictated by Arizona Department of Health Services.

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time position offering up to 35 to 40 hours per week
• Compensation is $20.00 to 21.50/hour
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must be comfortable with a physically active role.
