Job summary

Shriner's Hospitals for Children in Philadelphia seeks a Security Officer to help ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff while providing a welcoming, concierge-level environment.

Responsibilities include patrolling the facilities, securing doors, responding to emergencies, registering visitors, assisting with lost and found, directing traffic, and supporting department services as needed.

Qualifications

• State Driver’s License is required.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Three years security or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds; inspects doors, windows and locks according to schedule.
• Secures all doors at prescribed hours and unlocks doors at set times.
• Responds quickly and effectively to emergent and non-emergent situations.
• Ensures that all visitors register properly and are issued visitor passes in accordance with regulation.
• Displays courtesy and a pleasant demeanor towards all visitors and directs them to their destination.
• Assists in lost and found, key control and other department services.
• Directs traffic and patrols parking areas and issues warnings as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children by providing a welcoming and secure environment, while also offering concierge-level assistance.
