Job summary

Kent Services is a family-owned security firm delivering reliable protection and service to staff, visitors and tenants. We seek a diligent security officer to monitor premises and deter theft or unauthorized access.

Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 2:45 pm–10:45 pm; Wed 1:45 pm–9:45 pm. Education: High School Diploma or GED; Certification: Class D Security License. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience as a security officer or guard.
• Ability to respond quickly to suspicious or criminal activity.
• Must have a valid Class D Security License.

Responsibilities

• Observe/monitor property to detect theft or unauthorized access.
• Control entrance and departure of staff, visitors and vehicles.
• Patrol premises and monitor security checkpoints.
• Monitor security systems and report incidents.
• Maintain courteous communication with staff and visitors.
• Be punctual and reliable; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for a candidate to join our team who can assist in monitoring the premises and protect our staff, visitors and tenants. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a security officer or guard and will have quick reaction time in the event any suspicious or criminal activity is detected.

SCHEDULE: Mon, Tues, Thurs., Fri - 2:45 pm to 10:45 pm | Wed - 1:45 pm - 9:45 pm

• Observe/monitor property to detect theft, unauthorized access or suspicious activity while following gatehouse policies and procedures.
• Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols
• Patrol premises and scan checkpoints during rover
• Monitor security system for any suspicious activity and report.
• Be polite in communications with staff, visitors, etc.
• Ability to be on time
• Other duties as assigned
