Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a long-term temporary position in Northbrook, IL.

The role involves monitoring premises, access control, patrolling, and maintaining a safe environment for clients and their employees and visitors. Typical shifts include evenings and nights as per schedule; candidates should have HS diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and be able to work independently with professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Driver certified.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Long Term Temp Position

Primary Location: Northbrook, IL

Wage: $21.00/HR

Schedules

• Mon - Fri: 5PM - 11PM
• Fri - Sat: 11PM - 7AM, Thurs & Sun: 11PM - 5AM

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
