Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment at client sites in Northbrook, IL. The role involves access control, rounds, and customer service, with a focus on de-escalation and reporting safety issues.

The position offers competitive hourly pay of $21.00 and a schedule Mon-Fri 5PM-11PM, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid training, and paid weekly. Driver certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screening including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Carry out post orders and assigned rounds.
• Conduct tours of the property.

Primary Location: Northbrook, IL

Wage: $21.00/HR

Schedules:

• Mon - Fri: 5PM - 11PM
• Fri - Sat: 11PM - 7AM, Thurs & Sun: 11PM - 5AM

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.

• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
