Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation is seeking a Security Officer to protect assets and ensure the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF sites. You will draw on your security training to implement proactive measures and uphold our safety standards.

You will document events using the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System, work with senior leadership to maintain a secure environment, and help translate AHF core values into daily security practices.

Qualifications

• Active Security Guard Card is required.

The Security Officer contributes to AHF by being responsible for protecting the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF’s sites. In this role, you will leverage your training in security and you will be in charge of implementing strategies that protect our personnel and assets (including inventory of donations) at AHF sites. You will have full responsibility for implementing policies and procedures designed to achieve this important mission.

The Security Officer enhances the reputation of AHF by being friendly, professional and disciplined in the performance of their duties, recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective manner.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

The Security Officer will work as a part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain working relationships with the Senior Leadership staff to ensure a safe and secure environment. Finally, you will utilize the existing Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports regarding events and situation that occur while on duty. In this role you will have the opportunity to add consistent value to AHF by adapting to various situations with ease and by being flexible.
