Securitas, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer — Full Time at our McCook, IL location. Wage is $20.00 per hour with all shifts available, and comprehensive benefits.

The role guards people and property by patrolling, monitoring, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to keep the site safe. You must be at least 18, have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year of security experience. CPR/AED/First Aid certification is provided.

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

What Your Day May Look Like

• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• 1 year security experience required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification needed (provided).
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
