Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a security professional to patrol and secure our Leadville, Colorado site, ensuring safety and adherence to company policies. The role includes logging visitors, coordinating with responders, and supporting emergency procedures in a 24/7 operation.

The position offers on-site duties with a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, plus comprehensive benefits. Candidates should have CPR/first aid certifications and strong situational awareness in an industrial/mining

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols and security duties at the assigned site.
• Greet and log in visitors and vendors at the entrance gate.
• Notify appropriate personnel of arrivals and direct visitors to destinations.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Conduct surveillance and report damages or needed repairs.
• Assist with and train for emergency situations, coordinating with police, fire, and medical units.

What You Will Do

• Perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location.
• Greet and log in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate
• Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival
• Direct visitors and vendors to destination
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Perform frequent patrols of the property
• Walk, bicycles, or drives vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property
• Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities
• Pick up litter or debris as needed, or arranges clean-up with maintenance crews
• Report damages or areas in need of repair to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted
• Assist with and trained for emergency situations
• Collaborate with police officers in the prevention of crime
• Work with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location
• Provide basic emergency medical response (e.g. performs CPR, gives basic first aid) when needed
• Perform other duties as required

What You Bring To Freeport

• Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous Security experience in an industrial or mining environment

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$16.50 - $21.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
