Job summary

Security America, Inc. in Huntington, WV, is hiring security officers to protect properties across multiple states. The role includes patrolling assigned areas, checking visitors, reporting suspicious activity, and coordinating with local authorities as needed.

Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to work flexible schedules. Drug screening is required. New hire bonuses apply: $100 for part-time after 90 days and $150 for full-time after 60 days.

NEW HIRE BONUS $100.00 for part time after 90 days worked and $150.00 full time security officers after first 60 days worked.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Checks in all visitors;
• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; report suspicious activities and document all suspicious activity;
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency;
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property;
• Escorts unwelcome parties off the premises;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly;
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk;
• Prolonged periods standing and observing the property surroundings;
• Have the ability to twist and bend at the waist frequently;

Applicants meeting the basic requirements for the security officer position must:

• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Be able to work flexible schedules;
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience;
• Applicants being considered for hire must be drug free before beginning work or receiving an offer of employment. Refusal to submit to testing will result in disqualification of further employment consideration;
• Have access to reliable transportation to and from the work location;
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.;
• Be able to meet state licensing requirements for Security Officers, if required.
