Job summary

Texas Tactical Protection Group is seeking unarmed Security Officers to provide overnight protection for an active construction site. Officers will maintain a visible security presence, control access, conduct patrols, and report any suspicious activity, ensuring the safety of personnel and valuable assets.

The ideal candidate will have a Texas Security Officer License (Level II – Non-Commissioned), a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Security Officer License (Level II – Non-Commissioned) is required.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must successfully pass any required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the construction site, allowing entry only to authorized personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization of all visitors, contractors, and vendors as required.
• Conduct routine and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property throughout the shift.
• Deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activity through a visible security presence.
• Protect construction materials, equipment, tools, vehicles, and other company assets.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, or security concerns immediately.
• Contact emergency services when necessary and provide accurate information regarding emergencies.
• Respond appropriately to incidents while adhering to company policies and state regulations.
• Identify and report safety hazards, hazards, or other conditions that could present risk to personnel or property.
• Complete detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift logs.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and provide timely updates regarding significant events.
• Ensure all gates, access points, and designated areas remain secure during the shift.
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer service attitude while representing Texas Tactical Protection Group.
• Follow all client post orders, company policies, and state DPS regulations.

Officers are responsible for protecting the property, equipment, materials, and personnel by maintaining a visible security presence, controlling access to the site, conducting routine patrols, and reporting any suspicious or unsafe activity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain alert throughout the entire shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the construction site, allowing entry only to authorized personnel.

• Complete detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift logs.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and provide timely updates regarding significant events.
• Ensure all gates, access points, and designated areas remain secure during the shift.
• Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and customer service attitude while representing Texas Tactical Protection Group.
• Follow all client post orders, company policies, and Texas Department of Public Safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Walk and patrol uneven terrain throughout the shift.

• Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

This position is performed at an active construction site. Officers may be exposed to heavy equipment operations, dust, noise, and changing weather conditions. Situational awareness and adherence to all safety procedures are essential.
