Job summary

Haymarket Center, a leading nonprofit provider of addictions and behavioral health treatment in Chicago, seeks a Security Officer to join our Human Resources team at 932 W. Washington. Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least one year in security, 20 hours of security training, and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.

A valid driver’s license and PERC card are required. No phone calls.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum of one year experience in the security related field and at least 20 hours of training in security or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Must have good verbal communication skills and knowledge and ability of techniques to control unruly persons and/or clients, while maintaining a proper attitude.
• Valid Driver’s License; possess good judgment; PERC Card required.
