Job summary

Marksman Security is seeking a vigilant Security Officer in Charlotte, NC to deliver outstanding customer service, perform on-foot and vehicle patrols, and control access to facilities as required. You will monitor cameras, log incidents, and respond to emergencies, ensuring a safe environment for clients and staff.

Ideal candidates are 21+, hold a GED or high school diploma, can obtain a security license with help from Marksman, pass background checks, and meet physical requirements including

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid security guard card/license (Marksman Security can assist).
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, including lifting 75 lbs, patrols, standing, walking, and driving for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all parties on duty, including directions and information.
• Conduct general patrols on foot and in a vehicle to check for security violations.
• Control access for patrons, visitors or vendors as required.
• Monitor security cameras and patrol to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain logs pertaining to people or property, including packages.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies at the property and document data for management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information
• Conduct general patrols on foot and within a vehicle to check for security violations like unsafe conditions or unauthorized persons
• Control access for patrons, visitors or vendors as required
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
• Maintain clear, accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid security guard card/license (Marksman Security can assist)
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 75 lbs, completing foot patrols, sitting, standing, walking, driving for a significant period of time, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a security officer or in a customer service, retail, hotel or restaurant position (PREFERRED)
• Bi-lingual considered a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
