Job summary

Maverick Gaming in Central City, Colorado, is seeking a security officer to maintain safety and protect assets across the casino property. The role requires 21+, a valid Colorado gaming license, and 2–3 years of security experience.

You will report to the Security Department, handle incident documentation, escort employees to banks, monitor guest IDs, and coordinate with surveillance and management. Perks include health benefits, PTO, holidays, tuition reimbursement, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Military or law enforcement background preferred.
• 2–3 years security experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Colorado State Gaming License.
• Ability to read and comprehend all documentation.
• Effective communication with all levels of staff and guests.
• Knowledge of cash handling and State of Colorado gambling regulations.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage and maintain law and order, personnel, and resources.
• Ensure reports and correspondences are properly completed in a timely manner.
• Patrol company property and protect assets.
• Complete appropriate fills and runs using proper procedures with signed docs.
• Document and write reports on incidents.
• Respond to emergencies using safety procedures.
• Escort employees to the bank for daily drops.
• Ensure guests are 21+ and can read IDs.
• Communicate with surveillance and MOD about events.

Responsibilities include but are not to be limited to:

• Communicate with surveillance and M.O.D all details of events occurring on the casino property.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Military/law enforcement background experience preferred.
• 2-3 years security experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado State Gaming License.
• Ability to read and comprehend all documentation.
• Ability to always communicate effectively, with all levels of employees and guests.
• Ability to interface effectively with the public and co-workers.
• Working knowledge of cash handling and knowledge of State of Colorado Gambling regulations and rules.

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00
