Job summary

General Security Services Corporation (GSSC) is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect client properties in the Manual Labor Center, ND area. The role involves enforcing security policies, monitoring alarms, managing access control, and conducting interior/exterior patrols across assigned facilities.

Paid training, competitive compensation, and advancement opportunities are offered, with 36–48 hours per week on 6:00PM–6:00AM shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• A US Citizen or Alien lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass State & Federal background checks and drug screen.
• Ability to meet and maintain applicable licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site to protect property and personnel.
• Patrols the site on foot or in a vehicle and checks for hazards and security violations.
• Enforces security regulations per Post Orders and Facility Security Plan.
• Responds to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Monitors CCTV and alarm systems and takes appropriate action.
• Generates clear written reports of shift activities.
• Maintain safe driving practices and vehicle care.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and adhere to policies.

Summary:

Reporting to the Post Supervisor, the Security Officer is a vital team member providing security services to various clients of GSSC. The Security Officer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks per the needs of the client, which includes enforcing required security policies and procedures, monitoring alarm systems, maintaining access control for visitors and employees and providing interior and exterior foot patrols of common areas of assigned facilities, parking areas, parking ramps, and adjacent lots.

Security Officer Job Responsibilities:

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Enforces required security regulations and procedures pursuant to Post Orders and or the Facility Security Plan pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Responds to client inquiries in an expeditious manner.
• Monitors CCTV and alarm systems and provides appropriate response where applicable
• Ensures all CCTV and alarm systems are functional where applicable.
• Reacts appropriately, promptly and in accordance with Post Orders in emergency situations.
• Generates clear and concise written reports of shift activities.
• Maintains safe driving practices and vehicle care procedures as required.
• Creates a positive working environment and strong teamwork.
• Ensures compliance with all GSSC policies and procedures, federal regulations, state statutes, and specifications per client contracts.
• Interacts professionally and engages with client personnel, vendors, contractors and members of the public.

Minimum qualifications include the following:

Preferred qualifications include the following:

• 1 or more years of experience in the security, law enforcement, or military industries
• Military, Veteran, Law Enforcement, Corrections or Security related experience
